Baltic Conference on E-Health 2008

The 2nd Baltic Conference on E-Health will take place on 26th of September 2008 in Hamburg under the patronage of Ulla Schmidt, German Federal Minister of Health. This cross sector forum for healthcare providers offers all guests coming from various Baltic countries the opportunity to exchange views and experiences about E-Health. The attendees will include representatives from hospitals, governments, health insurance organisations, service providers and media.

In cooperation with the U.S. Commercial Service, the Baltic Conference on E-Health is organised by the Baltic Sea Forum, the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce and IBM. There will be numerous presentations and workshops about Best Practice and Case Studies as well as about Disease Management. Another important topic will be the optimization of clinical and business processes. In addition an update about latest developments in the EU will be given.

Among others Dr Leszek Sikorski, Director of the National Centre for Health Information Systems is going to talk about "The Future of Health Management in Poland - E-Health: Fundamental Engine of Economic and Social Progress".
