“ICT for Health” Interreg application approved
In Oslo the INTERREG IVB Monitoring Committee approved the Project ICT for Health. The overall objective of this project is that “Citizens with chronic diseases and medical professionals in the regions of the project partners have the social capacity, knowledge and acceptance to utilise eHealth technologies in prevention and treatment by the year 2012”.
In Oslo the INTERREG IVB Monitoring Committee approved the Project ICT for Health (complete title: ICT for Health – Strengthening social capacities for the utilisation of eHealth technologies in the framework of ageing population). The overall objective of this project is that “Citizens with chronic diseases and medical professionals in the regions of the project partners have the social capacity, knowledge and acceptance to utilise eHealth technologies in prevention and treatment by the year 2012”. In this project 20 partners from 8 countries are involved. Many of them are partners of the eHealth for Regions network.
Furthermore the Ministries of Health from Latvia and Belarus are interested in being involved in project! Leadpartner is the University of Applied Sciences Flensburg. The Kick-off meeting is foreseen for January/February 2010. The total budget is 3.6 Mio. EUR with a 3 years project duration from 2010 to 2012.
